Dhuanne Dodrill, B.S.

Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer

Dhuanne Dodrill is the CEO of PAXXUS, a global, vertically-integrated flexible healthcare packaging manufacturer. With over 30 years of experience in the flexible packaging industry, Dhuanne has AST. She is the immediate past chair of ASTM’s Committee F02 on Primary Barrier Packaging, is the Chair of the Sterilization Packaging Manufacturers Council, serves on the Executive Board of Directors of the Flexible Packaging Association, is one of the founding members of the Kilmer Innovations in Packaging group, is active with the Sterile Barrier Association and IoPP’s Medical Device Packaging Technical Committee, and is on the Board of Directors of Summit Insurance. She loves the science behind packaging and is passionate about promoting the role that packaging can play in improving patient outcomes.

Dhuanne has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering (with honors) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Doug Dodrill, B.S.

Chief Technology Officer

Doug Dodrill has been with PAXXUS for over 30 years. He received his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Doug is a Six Sigma Master Blackbelt, a member of SPE and TAPPI, both on the Extrusion Coating Committee and the Extrusion Coating short course. Doug’s specialty is new product development and Design of Experiments. He has won numerous awards for his products including three Highest Achievement Awards from the Flexible Packaging Association. He is also a speaker at many packaging events and holds two patents. When not working on the engineering of flexible materials, Doug can be found pursuing his favorite activity as a downhill skier.

Eddy Ka Sing Chan, B.S., Ph.D

Managing Director –Asia

Managing Director of PAXXUS Pte Ltd formerly known as Alliantz Flexible Pte Ltd since its inception in Singapore, 2005. Prior to that, Eddy was a General Manager for folding carton company transforming the business into a leading flexible packaging company with optimized TFFS structures exclusively for the medical/healthcare industry. Eddy received his BSc Mechanical Engineering degree (Hons 1 st Class) and PhD Degree in System Engineering from Bath University, England. He is additionally involved in the IT sphere of Computer-Aided-Engineering (CAE) tools for the manufacturing industries. He has been active in community service through the Rotary International movement in Singapore. Besides being part of executive community, and Eddy has also served as a Club President, Jurong Town Chapter.

Ciaran Foley

Managing Director –Europe

Ciaran has more than 20 years experience in the Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Packaging industries. Business development, supply chain development, technology identification and acquisition and the acquisition of a deep knowledge of Flexible Packaging were the steps accomplished on his way to taking over the running of PAXXUS Europe. Ciaran was the first to introduce Wide Web Water Based printing and Laser Scribing, for Healthcare Packaging, into Ireland. It is on the back of these new investments, as well as the addition of new Lamination capabilities, that PAXXUS continues to meet and exceed the demands of the Healthcare industry in the European market.

Dwane Hahn, B.S., M.S.

Chief Strategy Officer, VP of Sales & Marketing

Dwane Hahn has been at PAXXUS for over 25 years. He received his bachelors from Texas Tech University and his Master’s of Science in Technology Commercialization at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas Austin. Dwane sits as an industry consultant for the Editorial Board of Healthcare Packaging. In addition, Dwane is an award-winning mentor and Business Plan competition judge for the McCombs Business School at University of Texas. When he’s not strategizing how to position PAXXUS for future growth, Dwane can be found on his boat somewhere along the Texas Coast saltwater fly-fishing.

Xinyi Chan

Business Development Manager

Project Development Manager of PAXXUS Pte Ltd formerly known as Alliantz Flexible Packaging. Xinyi Chan has been with the company for 9 years, actively involved in daily operations and new project developments. She received her Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry and Pathology) at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Singapore Management University.

Noel Foley

Director -Europe

After more than 35 years nurturing and perfecting his trade in Smurfit and Amcor owned facilities, Noel Foley set up PAXXUS Europe (formerly EuroFoil Teo) in 1997 in order to supply Printed, Primary Packaging to the Healthcare & Pharmaceutical markets in Ireland and the UK. Noel was the first to introduce UV Printing and Cleanroom Production for Pharmaceutical Packaging into Ireland. These capabilities support PAXXUS as a preferred supplier to many of the Blue Chip Pharmaceutical and Healthcare companies in Europe.

Henk Blom, Ph.D

Vice President of Technology

Dr. Henk Blom has been with PAXXUS for over 10 years, with more than a decade of prior experience at a major medical device manufacturer. He attended the University of Waterloo, where he received his Master’s Degree in Inorganic Chemistry and his Doctorate in Polymer Chemistry and Engineering. He also holds a Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Henk is an active member of the Primary Barrier Packaging Committee (F02) of ASTM International, has served on the Board of Directors for 3 divisions of SPE (Medical Packaging, Failure Analysis and Prevention, and Flexible Packaging), and was most recently re-elected Chair of the Technical Committee of the Sterilization Packaging Manufacturers Council (SPMC). He also holds 3 patents, has written over 20 peer-reviewed articles, and regularly speaks at conferences and webinars. Outside of work, Henk enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, considers himself an amateur woodworker, and is learning to sail.

Joe Miceli

Vice President of Manufacturing

Joe Miceli has been the VP of Manufacturing for over 20 years and has over 35 years of experience at PAXXUS. He began his career at PAXXUS as the Quality Assurance Manager giving him unique insight into the needs and requirements of our customers in highly regulated industries. Joe is a member of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence and uses his expertise in lean manufacturing to help drive PAXXUS’ continuous improvement activities. Committed to giving back to the community, Joe is a Boy Scout Leader and also works with a Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club. In his free time, he is a private pilot and also plays trumpet in a community band.

Michael Johnson, B.S., M.B.A., CPA, CMA

Chief Financial Officer

Michael Johnson has over 35 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. He began his career at Continental Can Company in 1984 and currently has nearly 15 years with PAXXUS. With his extensive manufacturing experience, Michael has been instrumental in leading companies into stable states of consistent profitability and positive cash flow. He holds an accounting degree from Eastern Illinois University and a Master’s of Business from DePaul University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant. He is an active member of the Illinois CPA Society and Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).

Debra Kinder, B.S., ASQ CRE and CQE

Director of Quality

Debra Kinder has been with PAXXUS for over 8 years. Debra is a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) from the American Society of Quality (ASQ). She presented her co-authored paper Using Cost of Quality Measures for Bottom Line Improvements at QuEST’s Forum’s 4th Annual Best Practices Conference with Avi Vaidya, Ph.D. She has been in the automotive, telecommunication and aerospace industries and brings the best practices from each industry to her current position. She received her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois. Debra has been involved in Junior Achievement and presented quality and teamwork workshops for high school students. In her free time, she enjoys SCUBA diving and cruising.
